The Worthington Resource Pantry will be moving to a new and much larger facility at 500 Schrock Road this June. This move is a direct response to the incredible growth we’ve experienced in recent years. We are currently serving more families each month than we did in our entire first year, and it has become clear that we need more room to serve neighbors, store more donations, and offer expanded volunteer opportunities and resource services.
What to Expect at our New Location
More Space to Serve: Our new facility will offer 12,800 square feet of total space, a 232% increase over our current location. This includes nearly three times the shopping area, allowing us to offer more products, increase the availability of fresh produce, and provide a better overall shopping experience.
Expanded Storage & Refrigeration: With 2,700 square feet of receiving/storage space, a 238% increase, we’ll be able to safely accept and store more donations, including those we previously had to turn away due to limited capacity. Plus, we’re adding significantly more refrigerated storage and a brand-new walk-in freezer.
Improved Resource Connections: For the first time, we’ll have a dedicated Resource Center space that will accommodate all the services we support, like our holiday programs and coats for kids. This will allow us to partner with more community organizations on-site and connect our neighbors with services beyond food assistance.
BIGGER difference.
The new Pantry will be more than a building. It’s a space to enhance dignity, expand impact, and bring our community together.
It’s BIGGER than food, it’s BIGGER than a building - it’s so much BIGGER!
It’s a big job, but together, we can ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.
