The Need Keeps Growing
In March, the Pantry served 2,960 families and a total of 11,872 neighbors. That’s 138,792 meals. That number isn’t just large - it’s part of a trend that has stretched on for more than a year and a half. It’s now been 19 consecutive months since we’ve served fewer than 10,000 people in a single month.
Compared to March of last year, that’s an 11% increase in the number of neighbors needing support. And when we look back further, the change is even more striking: this March, we served 266% more people than we did in March 2019, before the pandemic reshaped the landscape of food insecurity.
These numbers tell a clear story. The need in our community is not only ongoing—it’s growing. Every cart of groceries, every stocked shelf, and every moment of connection is made possible because our community continues to show up. As we move forward, we remain committed to meeting this moment with compassion, consistency, and care.
